Unicapital Finance and Investments, Inc. is a leading finance company that provides services ranging from loans to financing. We are dedicated to provide a mix of traditional and innovative products and services which are tailor-fit to the ever-changing needs of our customers – SMEs, sole proprietorships, individuals, and large corporations as well.

Unicapital Securities, Inc. is a leading brokerage house duly licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission and is a member of the Philippine Stock Exchange. Established in 1997, USI opened its doors offering its clients with traditional brokerage services and has since then managed to create a name for itself as an active player in the trading of equity securities. Having recognized the growth opportunity in the retail segment, it formally launched its online platform UTrade in 2014.

Financing

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A LOAN?

There are several ways in which you can apply for a loan. Please see below:

1. You can directly fill up a form online by clicking on this link (provide link where the fillable form is located). Once done, you can either save the form for printing at a later time or print directly once all fields have been filled up. Alternatively, you can simply download the form here for you to fill up at a later time.

2. You can directly call any of our Loans Financial Services Officers at our Makati head office via direct line at (+632) 8403-0656 or via the trunkline at (+632) 8892-0991 for assistance. One of our marketing assistants will assist you and send you the forms along with the list of requirements.

3. For more urgent credit requirements, you may also visit us during office hours at out Makati head office or our Taytay branch office.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A LOAN APPLICATION?

Credit requirements are generally dependent on the type of loans. Please see below the list of requirements per type of loan facility:

Personal/Salary Loan

Forms:

        o Latest SEC/DTI Registration
        o Latest business registration papers (including business permit and Mayor’s permit)
        o Latest three (3) years BIR-filed audited financial statements with corresponding notes to financials
        o Latest three (3) years in-house financials with corresponding notes to financials, if available
        o Latest three (3) years Income Tax Return (ITR)
        o Interim financial statement
        o Latest six (6) months bank statements from main depository banks

HOW MUCH INTEREST RATE IS USUALLY CHARGED?

Our interest rates are generally lower than most financing and lending companies in the industry. The interest rate also varies and is dependent on the loan facility.

WHAT OTHER FEES DO I NEED TO PAY FOR?

Standard fees will include documentary stamps, gross receipt tax, and loan evaluation fees. Depending on the type of loan facility, credit life insurance fees may also apply.

HOW LONG IS THE PROCESSING TIME FOR LOAN APPLICATIONS?

The processing lead time varies and is dependent on the loan facility. Upon submission of complete requirements, for retail and consumer loans, processing time is three to five working days. For commercial loans where credit lines may need to be structured, processing time can range from fifteen to thirty days.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY LOAN HAS BEEN APPROVED?

Once your loan has been approved, you will be directly contacted by one of our marketing assistants. In parallel, once approved, you will receive an email which contains the terms and conditions of your loan application in addition to the required next steps for loan availment.

HOW WILL I PAY MY LOAN AMORTIZATIONS?

You can pay your loan amortizations by providing us with post-dated checks (PDCs) or via our accredited payment centers or banks nationwide, as listed below:

Equities

HOW DO I OPEN AN ACCOUNT? WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

1. Click here to fill up the UTrade online trading application forms with your information. Print and affix your signature in the required fields.

2. Collate your application documents and requirements. Submit at least one (1) valid identification document based on the list given below:
    · Driver’s License
    · Passport
    · Digitized SSS/GSIS ID
    · Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID)
    · Voter’s ID
    · Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) ID
    · Postal Identity Card
    · Senior Citizen’s ID
In the absence of a primary ID, you may, however, temporarily submit at least two (2) secondary identification documents. Refer to the list given below:
    · Government office ID – if employed
    · PhilHealth ID
    · Pag-IBIG ID
    · Tax Identification Number (TIN)
    · Seaman’s Book
    · OFW ID
    · OWWA ID
    · Police or NBI Clearance
    · Barangay Certification
    · Birth Certificate
    · Certification from the National Council for the Welfare of Disabled Persons (NCWDP)
    · Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)

Once the form has been filled up and all requirements have been completed, please submit application documents and requirements to our Makati head office.

3. What is the minimum initial deposit to open a UTrade account?

The minimum initial deposit required is ten thousand Philippine pesos. (Php10,000)

HOW CAN I FUND MY UTRADE ONLINE ACCOUNT?

You can fund your UTrade account via over-the-counter deposit or online banking payments at any of the banks listed below:

Banco de Oro (BDO)
Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI)
China Banking Corporation
MLhuillier (over-the-counter only)

WHEN CAN I START TRADING? HOW DO I START TRADING ONLINE?

You can begin trading once your account has been funded and activated. Upon approval and activation, you will receive an email notification indicating your username, default password, and trading pin.

WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR EVERY TRANSACTION?

1. BUY Transactions

UTrade charges the following for a BUY transaction:

    o Commission: 0.25% of the gross value or a minimum commission of Php20.00 for accounts without an assigned agent or broker. For accounts handled by an agent or broker, commission rates may vary.
    o Value-Added Tax: 12% of the commission charge
    o Transaction Fee: 0.005% of gross trade value
    o SCCP Fee: 0.01% of gross trade value
    o EW Tax: 10% of the commission (for Institutional Accounts)

2. SELL Transactions

UTrade charges the following for a SELL transaction:

    o Commission: 0.25% of the gross value or a minimum commission of Php20.00 for accounts without an assigned agent or broker. For accounts handled by an agent or broker, commission rates may vary.
    o Value-Added Tax: 12% of the commission charge
    o Transaction Fee: 0.005% of gross trade value
    o SCCP Fee: 0.01% of gross trade value
    o Sales Tax: 0.60% of trade value
    o EW Tax: 10% of the commission (for Institutional Accounts)

WHICH MUTUAL FUNDS CAN I BUY THROUGH THE UTRADE PLATFORM?

UTrade by Unicapital Securities, Inc. is a licensed mutual fund distributor and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The funds we currently distribute via the UTrade platform are the following:

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF MUTUAL FUNDS?

There are different types of funds which you can invest in depending on your financial goals and needs. The below are the different types of fund which you invest in through UTrade:


Unicapital

HOW DO I EARN FROM MUTUAL FUNDS?

Returns are determined by the movement in Net Asset Value Per Share (NAVPS). An increase in NAVPS means that you can redeem the shares of a mutual fund for a higher value. You may also earn money through dividend payouts from the mutual fund itself.

WHAT FEES ARE CHARGED FOR MY INVESTMENT IN MUTUAL FUNDS?

With UTrade, there is NO sales load charged with each subscription regardless of initial investment or additional investment. There are likewise no redemption fees charged by UTrade.

HOW DO I INVEST IN MUTUAL FUNDS WITH UTRADE? HOW DO I REDEEM IN MUTUAL FUNDS

To start investing in mutual funds, go to “EXCHANGE” then “MUTUAL FUND” to see all available mutual funds to invest in. For first-time investors, a suitability questionnaire will automatically prompt to be answered. The questionnaire is designed in order to assess your risk profile as an investor and will automatically show recommended mutual funds to be invested in. This, however, will not limit you to invest in these funds. The invest may opt to show all funds available via a filter and sort function available.
